Update Windows 8 Drivers Hp
Most of my windows 8.1 drivers are out of date..... (I have always had windows 8.1) I've seen information saying not to install and pay for driver update software.. and information saying that it is better to manually update the drivers for windows 8.1... What is the best way to update my out-of-date drivers????? Also I am receiving messages telling me that my browser needs to be upgraded??? I have tried over and over again to upgrade Mozilla Firefox, however I receive a message that the upgrade has failed? My original Internet Explorer browser has problems - what can I do to repair Internet Explorer, also I tried to download safari but it didn't work properly, the same applies to Opera browser???????? I have downloaded Google Chrome, however I still receive the message about upgrading my browser???? I thought that I had windows 8.1 - x64 bit, however I've found various downloads that are - x32 bit and also - x86 bit........ I really have to install (upgrade) my browser, however I don't seem to be getting any where? PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE?????

NEVER use Driver Updaters and read this about Drivers.
You normally only replace/reinstall drivers if you are having a problem with the existing ones or you require newer features that a newly released driver for a particular device would give you.
A lot of released drivers have never been updated since the year that they were released, but the devices they are for still work correctly.
You should obtain your Driver Software from your Computer or Hardware Manufacturer, not through Windows Update (except for Microsoft Hardware Updates), as Microsoft normally does nor have those latest Drivers available as Microsoft relies on the 3rd Party Hardware Manufacturer to supply them.
Go to your Computer or Hardware Manufacture's website > Driver and Software Support Section > look up your Computer or Hardware Model number > then your Operating System > locate the correct Drivers > download and install them.

If SFC could not fix something, then run the command again to see if it may be able to the next time. Sometimes it may take running the sfc /scannow command 3 times restarting the PC after each time to completely fix everything that it's able to.
If not, then run the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth command to repair any component store corruption, restart the PC afterwards, and try the sfc /scannow command again.
If still not, then try using OPTION ONE above to run the sfc /scannow command at boot
If still not, then you could do a refresh of Windows 8, or run a System Restore using a restore point dated before the bad file occured to fix it. You may need to repeat doing a System Restore until you find a older restore point that may work.
If still not, then you can use the steps in the TIP box in the OPTION THREE section to manually replace the files that SFC could not fix.
