I have a problem with the maplestory, I have windows 10 and when I enter the launcher and press play, the orange bar is put down and says currently in the game, then 10 seconds pass, and the bar goes back to orange, and nothing happened, I tried several times to get into the game and it does not run, please help, I played the game with windows 7 and I did not pass this and now that I'm with.

Well as someone who uses windows 10 and been using it since the very first beta day, i have no issue at all playing maplestory other then the resolution lock to 1366 x 768 lol, you might want to try to reinstall the graphic card drivers on your girlfriend pc. Or try to reinstall maplestory, it might have bugged while installing, i know maybe.
So, I've seen posts about Windows 10 working perfectly fine with Maplestory but that has not been the case for me unfortunately. I tried searching the Maplestory subreddit if anyone had my problem and around the internet and I haven't found a solution.
I upgraded to Windows 10, Pro Technical Preview, build 9926. I upgraded from Windows 7 Ultimate and decided to test out Windows 10 and felt like I just needed a fresh start. During the set up, I formatted all my hard drives and such and downloaded my drivers once my computer finished booting.
Now here's the problem, I downloaded maple, V.159 and used the normal 'full client downloader' that I got from the official website. Everything installed perfectly fine but once I actually try launching from the 'GameLauncher' from the Maplestory folder, Maplestory never pops up. After I click play, I see the hackshield and the other thing, and Maplestory never appears. I look at my task manager and I see 'Nexon Game Security' taking up a lot of my CPU power and Maplestory taking almost nothing. I've played League of Legends perfectly fine, Nosgoth through steam, and Clash of Clans through Bluestacks without any issues. I've had issues with other games but I wasn't surprised. The only thing about this, is that people have had Maplestory working on Windows 10 for awhile and for some reason, mine isn't.

I asked my friend to also try and see if if he had the same problem, and he did. Download chess game for computer. I tried running it as administrator and changing the compatibility mode to Windows 8 and Windows 7, nothing works.

Maplestory Won T Launch Windows 10
*Edit: I've never had this problem before with Windows 7 and this is my first time encountering something like this. This is also my first time posting on Reddit, go easy on me! xD
*Another Edit: I forgot to mention that I'm also not able to close the 'Nexon Game Security' after I open up Maplestory through task manager, when I tried ending the program, it just sits there and takes the hit. It's only until I restart my computer is when it goes away.
UPDATE: So, Maplestory started working out of nowhere. The last thing I did was uninstall Maplestory and install Maplestory directly from Firefox because Chrome usually doesn't work. I tried launching it and I had the same problem. The next day, after the minor patch on 1/29/15, I tried for the hell of it, and it patched and it opened and finally works. I do not know what I did, maybe it was the patch, I really don't know, but all I can say is that I'm happy and thanks for the help everyone!!!
